At Key People we are urgently seeking a BioStatistician and a SAS Programmer to work on a contract basis in Italy on a large dossier that must be submited at the end of July. Tasks are to include;

  • Re-writing of some SAS scripts used for the analysis of the phase III trials of this project;
  • Preparations of the statistical tables for the ISS and ISE;
  • Preparations of specific listings to be used for medical review.

A credit card/billing company is looking for a SAS or MATLAB developer. The company is in the business of credit card transaction processing, is fully funded and has a development staff of 7-8. The candidate will be solely responsible for implementing from the ground up, developing and maintaining the SAS or MATLAB environment. Candidate will initially be responsible for designing and installing SAS or MATLAB (depending on their expertise) software. Then the candidate will be responsible for working a current Perl developer to import large volumes of data (100’s of millions of pieces of customer information) into SAS or MATLAB and perform various statistical analyses and develop algorithms to reveal pattern recognitions for fraud detection. The candidate will then be responsible for communicating results to development staff and recommending solutions based on results.

SAS Administrator to provide support for SAS Unix server application environment. The candidate will be an experienced SAS administrator with skills for a SAS 9.1.x environment. Highly experienced developer with strong proficiency in SAS and SQL needed to develop reports and data extracts for RBS Card Services (credit card division), as part of data warehouse team.   • Candidate should demonstrate good organizational and verbal communication skills.

The DEPARTMENT OF EPIDEMIOLOGY has an outstanding opportunity for a SAS PROGRAMMER/ANALYST to work for the NACC, which is located off-campus in the Roosevelt Commons building. The department is searching for 2 Programmer/Analyst's for this position. This individual will be integral to the success of NACC, and it is vital that the person occupying this position possesses the ability to work with investigators from diverse backgrounds and multiple institutions. This will be a very visible position, reflecting the outstanding quality of research at the University of Washington.

The SAS Programmer/Analyst will have responsibility for writing and maintaining the NACC data submission software and data access software, which integrates the NACC web site and the NACC Oracle database. This position will also design and program other systems as needed by NACC. The SAS Programmer/Analyst will work with system analysts, programmers, data managers, statisticians, administrators, neurologists, neuropsychologists, geneticists, and other Alzheimer’s research personnel to design and develop computer systems to facilitate ADC research based on the NACC database. This position will be able to utilize the resources of the NACC faculty and other staff for solving technical and design challenges.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Software Programming - Create software using SAS to execute from the NACC web site and interface with an Oracle database. Software must be easy to use and carefully tested before implementation. Software will include, but not be limited to, data submission, data queries, error checking, and data file creation.
  • Software Design - Analyze user requirements to design software that allows for database queries, data submission, error checking, and data file creation. Users will have various levels of computer sophistication, from novice to experienced computer specialist.
  • Software Consultation - Provide SAS programming consultation to other NACC programmers and programmers at the Alzheimer's Disease Centers which collaborate with NACC. Questions may arise relative to programming, program design or analysis, and consultations may be conducted in person, by telephone, or e-mail communication.

  • BS in Computer Science or a related field AND at least three years of experience in SAS programming, including BASE and Macros.
