Survey Analyst (Palo Alto, CA)

Description We are seeking an energetic person with strong analytical skills to join our Operations team as a Survey Analyst. The Survey Analyst's primary responsibility is executing projects. This includes designing, scripting and testing surveys, executing pre- and post-processing of data for client delivery, as well as fielding and monitoring ongoing studies. Strong computational abilities are essential. Some prior experience with either a programming language (C/C++, Java, Python, or Perl) or scripting with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, R/S+, Stata) strongly preferred. Survey Analysts are also responsible for performing analyses that support internal research, answer questions about panelist satisfaction, and help to monitor the survey process. Analysts will learn to manage knowledge gained from previous projects and use these skills in future projects. A successful Analyst will be able to develop and suggest methods which may improve the way a survey is fielded and the survey-taking experience for our respondents Qualifications Candidates should have the following qualifications:

  • Excellent computational and data management skills. Familiarity with scripting or programming is extremely helpful.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Results driven focus and ability to see issues through to completion in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of statistical packages and data management tools (R/S-Plus, SAS, SPSS, Stata, SQL, Excel). Ability to work with and maintain large datasets.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to reporting accuracy
  • Understanding of statistics and ability to manage and summarize data
  • Prior experience or training in survey research is a plus (but not required)

SAS ETL Developer (Arlington, VA)

Job Description: Position: Sr. ETL Developer, Credit Risk Analysis The ETL Developer will be a member of the Credit Risk Analysis group for E*Trade Bank, which has $30+ billion in managed consumer loans across credit cards, auto loans, and mortgage products. This person will be a key player on a fast-paced dynamic team with high visibility across departments and to senior management. The Risk Analysis group is comprised of three teams, ETL, ODS, and Analysis & Forecasting. This person will be on the ETL team and be responsible for creating/modifying SAS v9 programs to load newly acquired loans and loan updates into the SAS data warehouse. The Bank’s business intelligence reporting hinges on the loading of timely and accurate data across multiple platforms. The candidate should have experience with data warehousing schema design, data mapping from source file to target files, normalizing both continuous and categorical data, and handling slowly changing dimensions. The candidate must be familiar with ETL concepts and operations, Meta data requirements, DB2, MS Access, and Oracle database structures and extraction tools (e.g. SQL). The candidate must have advanced SAS Macro and debugging skills, equivalent to the SAS Advanced Programmer Certification credential. In addition, the candidate should have experience either working with consumer lending data or a strong understanding of consumer lending products. SAS Programmer (NJ)

Contact: JTerebetski@designstrategy.com Our direct client located in NJ is in need of a SAS Programmer. The successful candidate will work on the statistical programming of clinical trials.

These are the main tasks:

  • Prepare high quality SAS programs to generate tables, listings, and graphs for clinical trial data.
  • Validate SAS programs according to Client's SOPs.
  • Contribute to the creation of programming specifications.
  • Define and test the mapping of clinical trial data into the Generic Data Model.
The candidate should have experience with the first three bullets plus good communication. They are looking for people with at least 7 years+ experience with SAS within the Pharma industry.

We are looking to find programmers who have project lead experience. Client wants someone who can lead rather than just a program, preferably 2 years project management.
