SAS Business Intelligent Consultant Needed

APEX Systems is seeking an SAS Business Intelligence consultant for up to an 1 year engagement in Denver, CO. Please let me know if you are interested: lschiola@ apexsystemsinc.com Description: The SAS Administrator/Support Analyst will serve as a key member of the team and will be focused on supporting SAS BI Tools and analytic capabilities. The candidate will be responsible for working with the business partners to jumpstart the region. SAS BI deployment including providing support for for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the SAS V9 environment, which includes SAS Metadata Server, SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Server, SAS Enterprise Guide and Enterprise Miner, SAS Forecast Server, and various other SAS products running on AIX platform. Requirements: -Experience with SAS Business Intelligence Suite 9x - Includes - Enterprise Guide, Information Delivery Portal, Information Map Studio, Web Report Studio -SAS Management Console for SAS platform administration -Detailed understanding of most SAS tools and ability to administer them. -Knowledge of SAS architecture -Planning, executing, and monitoring the SAS BI platform security and data archival solution for the platform -Ability to research and recommend technical designs and architectures to support requirements. -Knowledge of tools and techniques to troubleshoot and debug SAS issues on UNIX platform. -Must be extremely competent in identifying requirements and translating business requirements into technical solutions. -Hands on SAS Programmer with at least 5 years SAS programming for data management, SAS Macro and PROC statements. -Complex Data Step manipulations of large data sets from diverse data sources. -Experience multiple environments, XML data interchange, SAS security configuration. Biostatisticians - Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles, CA)

Description Applications are being accepted for masters-degree level full-time biostatistics positions, effective immediately. The successful applicants will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of biostatisticians, epidemiologists, basic scientists, geneticists, and clinicians at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to further research efforts at the Cancer Institute and in other departments. Responsibilities include: •collaboration and consultation with faculty on design and development of research projects, •data management and statistical analysis for current research projects; and •preparation of reports and manuscripts. Requirements Applicants must have a master’s degree in biostatistics or a statistics-related discipline; strong data analysis and programming skills; proficiency in SAS and/or other statistical software such as R, STATA, S-PLUS; and experience in analysis of clinical trial and laboratory data. Experience analyzing cancer-related data and genetic association studies is desirable but not required - opportunities exist for collaborations in other disease areas.
