Research Analyst (Richmond, CA)

Public health consulting firm working with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) seeks a research analyst to work about 20-30 hours per week under the direct supervision of a senior Epidemiologist in the Environmental Health Investigations Branch, CDPH, in Richmond, CA. Primary duties will be to conduct data analyses of the effects of exposures to persistent halogentated compounds, as measured by serum biomarkers, on age at pubertal development in a longitudinal study of puberty in young girls. This is part of a multi-site study funded by NCI and NIEHS, and conducted in collaboration with laboratories at the CDC. The individual will be responsible for managing data sets on panels of measured chemicals, creating indices of exposure, and conducting analyses using linked data sets with questionnaire and physical exam data included. Additional duties include summarization of data runs, preparation for presentations and reports, and possibly contributions to manuscript writing.

Masters degree in epidemiology, biostatistics or a related field required. (Current Masters level work and with related work experience are may also be acceptable). Applicants must have good working knowledge of SAS and other statistical packaged programs. Salary range of $26.25-33.39/hour, DOE with excellent benefits. EOE/AA, M/F/DV.
